Elopement at San Pietro in Positano

Rainy, romantic elopement at Il San Pietro di Positano

What is it about rainy days that makes everything so romantic? Allyson & Mitchell visited Italy for the first time this May, where they eloped at the stunning cliffside hotel Il San Pietro di Positano.  Although they originally planned to wed on a little cliff just on the sea, nature had other plans.  Their wedding day was rainy & the sea engulfed the beach where they had set to marry, but Allyson said she would not change a thing about their wedding. The weather gave such a calm serenity to the day, and the two of them even danced in the rain.  I love when couples choose to embrace every moment, and enjoy their wedding entirely regardless of what happens.  They say that Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life, and I am sure for these two nothing could be more true...

Windy Amalfi Engagement...

People often don't realize that Amalfi is actually a little town, the one that gives it's name to the entire Costiera Amalfitana.  It is now a little tourist town but in the 11th and 12th centuries the town was the center of it's own Republic, and a mighty naval power & trade port with North Africa.  The town has stunning Arab-Sicilian architecture and is well worth a visit when visiting this part of Italy...

A week a puglia...

Some time last year I came across the Ostuni Workshop in Puglia, put on by the very talented Italian wedding photographers Gianluca & Mary Adovasio and just knew I had to go.  I had been dying to see that part of Italy for some time and this was simply the perfect reason.  After a few months on the Amalfi Coast, the stars aligned and I was off to see this special part of Italy...
