Rainy, backyard wedding...

Paul & Theresa's wedding was the second wedding I have photographed at her sister's gorgeous home in Russell.  The first one being for Theresa's other sister Trista, which was the first wedding I ever photographed.  Both of these weddings had something in common other than the stunning country location.  Both sister's had the most amazing family & friends you will ever meet...Spending the day photographing so much love and laughter makes you realize that this is what weddings are all about.  Spending time celebrating your love with all those that are just so special to you.  What is more important in life than those you care about most?

Paul's family flew in from Ireland, and his groomsmen from all over the world.  They were all so much fun, and I think the best man's speech was one for the books.  Theresa's family is so musically talented you wouldn't even believe, her brother and sister sang & played guitar during the ceremony.  Then her niece learned to play guitar secretly and then gave them the beautiful gift of playing a song at the reception.  And finally the entire family created a musical of the love story of Paul and Theresa, spent hours rehearsing and perfecting it and then broke into a full song and dance performance during the reception (another quirky and fantastic family wedding tradition)!

In the end their wedding day just felt so relaxed, and joyous.  Although it rained and even poured for most of the day, mother nature seemed to bring out a bit of sun in the few moments it was needed most :) They say a rainy wedding day is nothing but good luck for the future of the marriage.  However Paul & Theresa with the love you both share, and all the incredible people you have in your life I have feeling luck won't even be needed...
